Large-leaved Aster is an adaptable shade loving perennial with large heart-shaped leaves and clusters of delicate cream-colored flowers that turn lavender or purple as they mature. It is drought tolerant, does well is a variety of soils ranging from sand to heavy clay and can be used as a ground cover and stabilizer on slopes. It benefits a range of pollinators, is a host plant for the Pearl Crescent Butterfly and is deer resistant.
